Run don’t walk to see “The Cross”!

Take your Friends to see “The Cross”!  Jesus’ name is lifted high with this true story!

Last Wednesday Denny and I had the privilege of attending the Premiere of the movie “The Cross”.  It opened in Theaters nation wide on Friday.  For me it was especially sweet because I was able to re-unite with an old friend.  I was one of Arthur Blessitt’s original Jesus Freaks in the early 70′s, enthusiastically marching down Van Nuys Blvd. up to Sunset Blvd. shouting “give me a J” and sticking his “reds” as he calls them or stickers with scripture on them on any flat surface we could find.

“The Cross” Producers Matt and Laurie Crouch did a fantastic job on this documentary telling the story of Arthur’s unbelievable journey.  You will laugh, cry and be astounded that this faithful servant is still alive to tell his story.  It brought back so many memories for me personally i.e. almost getting suspended from Cleveland High School for defaming school property with the “reds”…. oops, I was such a rebel :-)  Even remembering that, as a teenager, I had dated Arthur’s worship leader “Justin Time”, not a joke that is his real name!

Good News!  We will be awarding Arthur, his wife and Movie Producers Matt and Laurie Crouch at this years WELL DONE Awards.  Please find attached the poster that announces the 3rd Annual WDA at the Grove of Anaheim Sunday May 31st 2009 Tickets are a donation of $25.  The sooner you order your tickets the better the seats. Leesa, God bless you for your work,:-). I have not heard of you before until now, when I received your blog in my Google alerts that I have for Phil Stacey. And what an awesome thing that Phil is doing supporting you by performing. I should know he would do that, because he has done a lot of wonderful and worthy causes last year, and has one coming up end of April, for a Chattanooga organization that raises breast cancer awareness. God bless Matt and Laurie Crouch, too, for bringing us such wonderful movies. You are right to say that it is great that Arthur is still with us to celebrate seeing his life portrayed for others to be inspired by.
I would like to also let you know of a prayer site that I am on, called , where one of the things we do is pray for Idol contestants. I invite you to join the site and submit prayer requests and such that you may have. In fact, I may go ahead and tell my administrator there about you, :-) . God bless you for your work. And while I’m at it, and since I have decided to use my username that I use for things related to Phil, I also invite you to check out his phansite: .
